Burn wards etc Solution: Solution is to install rotary based energy recovery devices along with HVAC , these energy recovery devices recovers the energy from the exhaust of various place in healthcare and the energy is used to precondition the fresh air , thus saving total energy i.e. both sensible & latent. This not only checks the additional TOR required but saves the power (running) cost. The energy recovery wheel, heart of any energy recovery devices, also checks the contamination level and do not transfers the contamination to the supply air due to wheel construction/desiccant selection, purge sector & special seals provided. Energy recovery wheels also provides more fresh air with lower humidity levels and much lower energy costs.
One can install the energy recovery wheel (ERW) along with the HVAC system or Energy recovery ventilator (ERV) or Treated fresh air units (TFA) which are customized with all inbuilt options e.g. cooling section, heating section, fan & filtration sections etc.
This can be either retrofitted or installed fresh.
